W.E.L.L. at Geneseo is a new educational program from Health and Counseling and open to all faculty/staff on campus!

  • Learn about common mental health topics that show up in and out of the classroom
  • Build skills and gain confidence in supporting and referring students in need
  • Enhance your relationship with yourself and campus community members
  • Discover offerings on campus that can help support faculty/staff wellness
  • Participate in systems-level change to improve collective campus wellbeing 

Upcoming W.E.L.L. workshops:

All faculty and staff are welcome to attend sessions that interest them, with the option of earning a certificate (see below).

Certificate Requirements

  • 3 Required workshops
    • Mental Health First Aid (anytime within the last 3 years)
    • Supporting and Referring Students of Concern
    • Wellbeing-Promoting Practices
  • 2 (or more) Elective workshops (examples listed below, offerings to vary by semester)
    • Resource Roundtable
    • Forest Bathing
    • Midweek Meditation
    • Mindful Yoga
    • Wellbeing Idea Exploration Hour
    • Office Hours with Rose
    • Wednesday Crafternoons with the TLC
    • Mental Health & Accessibility
    • Contemporary Topics in College Mental Health

The total time commitment for earning the certificate is about 14 hours, and there is no set timeline for completion. As we start the series, all workshops will be offered in person, but we may be able to offer some workshops virtually in the future, depending on interest. We encourage you to participate in the way that makes the most sense for you and we are open to suggestions for additional educational offerings!
