Resident Assistants (RAs)
Resident assistants are student staff members who live on all floors of each hall. They are a peer resource for you and assist the college in monitoring life safety in the halls.
How to access this resource
Stop by and say hi! You can visit RAs during their visibility hours, desk hours in the service desk, or while they are on duty.
Area Coordinators (ACs)
Area coordinators are full-time professional staff who run the operations (facilities, damage, conduct) of multiple residence halls, oversee the RAs in the buildings, supervise the residence directors, and work with offices around campus to support residents.

They have offices in the residence halls! Check signs on their office doors for their hours or make an appointment through Navigate.

Residence Directors (RDs)
Residence directors are part-time professional staff who run the operations of one building, oversee the RAs, and work with offices around campus to support residents. They are supervised by the ACs, so you can always reach out to an AC as well as an RD.

Residence Life Main Office
Come in person to the College Union 319 to talk with our administrators or a student worker!
Visit the Residence Life Service Desk to ask questions related to residence life (roommates, facilities, deadlines, housing, etc).
Custodial Staff & Zone Mechanics
The custodial staff in your residence halls keep your common spaces clean and organized. Don't be shy about saying hello and getting to know them or ask questions.
Zone mechanics are tradespeople who do repairs throughout the buildings, including work orders you may put in for your room.
Office of Multicultural Affairs
This office is located in the Multicultural Center and supports equity and justice on campus.
Reach out proactively and reactively as you need support or want to get involved in creating a welcoming campus community.
Dean of Students
Located in the Center for Community on the 3rd floor of the college union.
The Dean can work with you to design solutions to any challenges you have that are impacting your success (academic or otherwise), including, mental health concerns, conflicts with a professor or staff member, unsafe home life, or violations with the student code of conduct.
Academic Planning & Advising (DAPA)
DAPA is located in the academic support hub that is Erwin Hall and handles questions or concerns you have about classes, credits, tutoring, faculty, majors, etc.
There are full-time academic advisors and academic success coaches to support your individual academic journey at Geneseo.

Health & Counseling
Student Health offers free clinical support to all students. If you have questions about eligibility, reach out to the Campus Community Resource Nurse!
Student Counseling offers in person and virtual appointments to support students in crisis and ongoing health needs.
Career Design
In addition to checking out the Career Explorer in the Navigate Student App, you'll want to reach out to the Career Design Center early and often! They can help you tailor your academic, work, and co-curricular experiences into career preparation!
Bias-Incident Response Team
As expressed in our Community Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, bias-related incidents challenge and contradict our commitment to assisting every member of our community reach their full potential by fostering an environment that allows everyone to feel affirmed, regardless of identity or background.
Report any incidents of bias (big or small) that impact your experience.
Title IX
The Title IX Office is located in the Office of Diversity & Equity on the 3rd floor of Doty Hall and they support students through education, confidential resources, and support through the reporting process.
Report any incidents of gender discrimination, including sexual harassment, sexual assault, domestic and dating violence, stalking and sexual exploitation.
