Who We Are
First licensed in 1963 — making it the Greater Rochester region’s first FCC-authorized college radio station — WGSU serves the Genesee Valley, including the SUNY Geneseo campus and surrounding Livingston County communities, as a noncommercial educational station. WGSU broadcasts and streams, 24/7, a commercial-free, current-based alt-pop format.
WGSU also airs a variety of non-music programming, including news, public-affairs and sports shows, and is home to Geneseo Ice Knights hockey.
