Florida Panhandle - March 2019

Hurricane Michael Recovery in the Florida Panhandle

Photo of devastation caused by Hurricane Michael in Mexico Beach

(There are 5 spaces available for this trip)

This service experience will engage participants in the recovery and rebuilding efforts in response to the recent Hurricane Michael. Volunteers will support individuals and families in Mexico Beach that were directly impacted by the storm. Key to the trip, volunteers will have the opportunity to connect with the local community members to hear first hand accounts of the storm and how the community responded.

The trip host for this service week is the Florida United Methodists Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and their disaster response team in the Florida Panhandle.
