Geneseo Wind Quintet has been the resident wind quintet at SUNY Geneseo for over forty years, making it one of the oldest ensembles of its kind in the country. The quintet, whose members are all Music Department faculty, performs two recitals per year on campus, as well as additional concerts in the greater Rochester area. They have appeared numerous times on WXXI Radio live broadcasts and on the "LIVE from Hochstein" concert series. The group performs repertoire that spans the history of wind quintet music, including many premieres, and often collaborates with other Geneseo music faculty and area musicians to play works for larger and more varied ensembles. In addition, the member of the quintet serve as the faculty coaches for wind students enrolled in the department’s chamber music ensembles.

The Geneseo Piano Trio, founded in 2014, brings together three artist-faculty members at SUNY Geneseo: Andrew Bergevin, violin, and James Kirkwood, cello, and Jonathan Gonder, piano. The Trio continues the fine chamber-music-in-residence tradition at SUNY Geneseo, begun by the Tremont String Quartet in 1977. The members of the ensemble are committed to performing the core repertoire of Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Fauré, Shostakovich, and others, as well as contemporary composers.
