The $35 million renovation to SUNY Geneseo’s Milne Library is on track to open during the 2024–25 academic year, and a new virtual rendering of the library provides a preview.

Funded in part by the State University Construction Fund and designed by JMZ Architects, the updated library received significant input from students, faculty, and staff. It features increased seating, improved windows and lighting, and the addition of study rooms, event spaces, and a cafe.

“We are very excited and look forward to welcoming all students, faculty, staff, and community members back to Milne Library, where we can continue providing award-winning services,” says Library Director Corey Ha.

Bob Ames, assistant vice president for facilities and planning, is pleased to see the large campus project remain on time, on budget, and on scope—all due, he says, to a strong collaboration between the College, the SUNY Construction Fund team, and the contractors. “We continue to appreciate all involved in advancing this important project that will benefit the campus community for decades to come,” he says.
