Join our virtual community to connect with fellow alumni and friends, and enjoy reading, lifelong learning, and personal growth. The book club connects through a private forum where all participants can discuss the current book and network with each other. It’s free to participate; you just need a copy of the book to enjoy. The Alumni Learning Consortium provides access to online learning tools. Enjoy live virtual events or watch previously recorded webinars at your convenience. Online Courses

The PBC Online Course Program is designed to offer deeper-dive online learning opportunities for alumni through asynchronous courses. Our Online Course Programs are led by expert facilitators over a 4-week period and offer access to an online forum where alumni can connect with the facilitator directly and with one another. Sample topics: Success in your 20’s, Meditation & Mindfulness, and Conversations through Difference!

We will send emails to our alumni base to announce the course being offered and advertise on the Geneseo Alumni Facebook page.

Dr. William Cook's Final Lecture

Bill Cook, Emeritus Distinguished Teaching Professor of History, taught at SUNY Geneseo for 42 years. He led an estimated 11,000 lectures while at the college; view the recording of his final classroom lecture in the Humanities.

Dr. Ronald Herzman's Farewell Lecture

Ron Herzman, Distinguished Teaching Professor of English, taught at SUNY Geneseo for 49 years. To punctuate his career and celebrate his retirement, Dr. Herzman delivered a farewell lecture on April 13, 2018. Family, friends, alumni, faculty colleagues and current and former students came from near and far to celebrate Ron's half century of teaching, research and service.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized (subject to certain rules and regulations).
