Friday Knight Alumni Spotlight

Tell us about yourself. Where you live now, career, and/or family news. What have you been up to since you left Geneseo?
Since leaving Geneseo, I have traveled a winding but formative road. I currently live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I work for the City of Salt Lake as the Community Engagement Coordinator with the Homeless Engagement and Response Team. It has been a challenging, exciting, and rewarding job as I work to bring together diverse groups with the intent to develop community between sheltered and unsheltered neighbors within the City. My degree in education from Geneseo has been very helpful in navigating this effort.

What did you want to be when you were a child?
A teacher

When or where are you happiest?
I am happiest when I am outside in the mountains; hiking, mountain biking, skiing, or camping.

What is your most treasured possession?
A picture given to me by my grandma.

Do you have a secret talent?
No

Does your family have a "motto" - spoken or unspoken?
No

If you could choose a superpower, what would it be?
The ability to fly.

What is the weirdest food you've ever eaten?
Guinea pig

What was the last thing you recorded on TV?
I only use streaming platforms, so I don't record shows on TV.

Where is your favorite Geneseo location?
My favorite Geneseo location is the gazebo overlooking the valley where I can sit and watch the sunset.
