Social Justice Experience
Enhance Your Geneseo Experience
The Social Justice of Western New York Experience is an optional four-day academic and social program designed to provide an enjoyable transition to living and learning at Geneseo. This course will give students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the local communities of western New York and this region's powerful history as a setting for social justice struggles, from civil rights and women's suffrage in the 19th and early 20th centuries to the modern-day controversies on environmental justice, immigration policies, and Native American justice. Students will have the opportunity to explore these issues with faculty and community members who are experts in the field.
