Raj Patel: Organizer & Director of Technology

Raj Patel is a senior Biology major, planning to attend medical school in the fall of 2021. Raj is the Organizer and Director of Technology for TEDxSUNYGeneseo. Apart from TEDx, Raj partakes in Neuroscience research and is a resident assistant in Steuben Hall. In his free time, Raj enjoys watching movies, listening to music, and working out. To Raj, TEDx is a platform, which inspires others to share remarkable notions, and spread such ideas amongst one another in an exceptionally influential manner.

Maeve Reed: Director of Curation

Maeve Reed is a junior Economics and Political Science double major with a minor in Philosophy from Rochester, NY. Maeve is the Head Curator of TEDxSUNYGeneseo. In addition to being a member of the TEDxSUNYGeneseo Board, Maeve is on the Women’s Club Soccer Team and Geneseo’s Model United Nations. In her free time, Maeve enjoys playing guitar, running, sailing, hanging out with her friends, and listening to podcasts. Maeve plans to attend law school after graduation. To Maeve, TEDx is a platform to educate, inspire, and grow more connected as the global community.

Madelyn Rice: Curator

Maddie Rice (she/they) is a senior majoring in Anthropology and Sociology and is a member of the Curation team here at TEDx. After graduation, she hopes to continue working with nonprofit organizations and become more involved with local and community organizers. In their free time, you can find them doing yoga, listening to music, hiking, and cooking with friends. Maddie is involved in the community service fraternity on campus- APO, and also spends her time working at The Gallery on Main Street. Maddie is looking forward to playing her part on the TEDx team and is excited to help create a space for new ideas and dialogues.

Lyndsay Tudman: Curator

Lyndsay Tudman (she/her) is a senior English Creative Writing major with a minor in French. Lyndsay is a member of the Curation Team for TEDxSUNYGeneseo. She is originally from North Syracuse, NY. Outside of TEDx, she is involved in Emmelodics, a co-ed acapella group, and French tutoring at the writing and language center. In her free time, Lyndsay likes to go on walks while listening to her favorite playlist and have weekly game nights with her housemates. After graduation, she plans on moving abroad to further her studies in the French language. To Lyndsay, TEDxSUNYGeneseo gives the opportunity for students to share their ideas with their community, and she is thrilled to be a part of it.

Kevin Reed: Curator

Kevin Reed (he/him) is a junior Adolescent Education English major, and is a member of the TEDx curation team. Kevin hopes to become an English teacher before getting his PHD and teaching on a collegiate level. His interests include cooking, baking, literary and artistic analysis, playing music, rugby, and songwriting. He has performed with artists such as Jeff Tweedy, and Wilco. At the age of 17 he rowed from Buffalo to Albany with a group of peers over 10 days, rowing 8 hours a day in order to raise 31,000 for the nonprofit Holy Childhood. He is a member of the English Honor Society Sigma Tau Delta. To Kevin, TEDx is about giving voice to important issues, connecting people, challenging the status quo, and challenging our own preconceived ideas and ideals in a manner that facilitates diversity and acceptance.

Sarah Krzemien: Director of Production & Logistics

Sarah Krzemien (she/her) is a junior Political Science major.  After graduation she would love to work in Washington DC and hopes to someday run for public office.  She hopes to be a part of the next generation of progressive politicians.  In her spare time she likes to read, travel, and Geocache.  Along with being involved in the Political Affairs Club, Sarah is part of the production and logistics team for Tedx and is excited to be working alongside others who are passionate about amplifying ideas worth spreading!  Ted is a renowned organization and she is excited to be able to contribute to their mission within her own community.

Souza Hiramasa: Director of Sponsorship & Finance

Souza Hiramasa is an international student from Japan, majoring in Business Administration. Souza is the Director of Sponsorship/Finance for TEDxSUNYGeneseo. She has worked as a product manager at an esports startup company in Japan and hopes to work at one of the top SaaS companies in the U.S. in near future. Her favorite TED talk has always been “Who Are You Really? The Puzzle of Personality.” She joined the TEDx team to create the place to deliver new insights and meaningful values to people.

Sabrina Franzen: Co-Director of Public Relations, Marketing, & Communication

Sabrina Franzen is a senior communication major with a concentration in Personal and Professional communications. She transferred into SUNY Geneseo in spring 2020 and is planning to graduate in spring 2022. Sabrina is on the Public Relations, Marketing, and Social Media team for TEDXSUNYGeneseo. Outside of TEDXSunyGeneseo, she is the Social Media Coordinator for Geneseo Campus Activity Board. For fun Sabrina is slowly learning to make jewelry and enjoys reading.

Una Stopford: Co-Director of Public Relations, Marketing, & Communication

Una Stopford is a senior Communication major, focusing specifically on Journalism & Media. Una is on the Social Media and Public Relations team here at TEDx. This is her first year working with TEDx at Geneseo. At Geneseo, Una is also a tour guide and a member of one of the local service sororities here on campus.  In her free time, Una enjoys cooking, running, and doing yoga. She is excited to collaborate with the TEDx team and create a space to share ideas, and an event that engages, informs, and inspires.

Joey Morgan: Public Relations, Marketing, & Communication

Joey Morgan (she/her) is a senior Neuroscience major, and is a member of the TEDx Social Media and Public Relations team. She also is a member of the advertising and marketing committee of neuroscience club, of Sigma Kappa sorority, and is a research assistant. In the future, she plans on pursuing her PhD in Neuroscience and to continue to perform research. She believes TEDx is an important platform in Geneseo to introduce students to TED talks in general, and broaden their perspectives through personal concise monologues. Her favorite TED talk is Dixon Chibanda’s, "Why I Train Grandmothers to Treat Depression."
