Hasan Jefferies

Biography: 

Hasan Jeffries is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and attended Morehouse College before completing his graduate training at Duke University. As an associate professor at Ohio State University, Jeffries specializes in 20^th century African-American history, concentrating on the civil rights and black power movements. He is best known for his book, Bloody Lowndes: Civil Rights and Black Power in Alabama’s Black Belt (2009).
