Geneseo is a pre-med power house.

The Association of American Medical Colleges ranks Geneseo as supplying the 3rd-most applicants to U.S. medical schools among undergraduate institutions in New York state in 2020–21 (16th among all institutions in NYS). Geneseo's medical school acceptance rate was 92% for applicants that have a GPA of 3.7 and MCAT scores of 511 or greater (the national averages for acceptance to medical school), indicating the strength of Geneseo's program and reputation.

In addition to medical school, students are accepted at a variety of health profession graduate programs, including optometry, dental, pharmacy, physician's assistant, nursing, veterinary. See below for lists of medical and health-profession schools attended by SUNY Geneseo graduates.
