GENESEO, N.Y. -- Three SUNY Geneseo musical theater students and a recent alumnus from the program are in the cast of the current production of “A Christmas Carol” at Rochester’s Geva Theatre Center through Dec. 24. The musical director of the production is Don Kot, director of Geneseo’s Musical Theatre Program.
This weekend will mark the last home appearances of SUNY Geneseo’s athletic teams in 2016, highlighted by the Teddy Bear Toss at the men’s hockey game on Friday, Dec. 2.
The sixth-annual event is sponsored by SUNY Geneseo Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the men’s hockey team. All in attendance are encouraged to throw a new or gently-used stuffed animal onto the ice following the Knights’ first goal of the contest. Game time is 7 p.m. at the Ira S. Wilson Ice Arena, with SUNYAC rival Fredonia providing the opposition.

Phi Beta Kappa, the nation’s oldest and most prestigious academic honor society, is celebrating “Keys to Action Week” December 5- 12 in honor of the 240th anniversary of the society’s founding on December 5, 1776. Since its founding, Phi Beta Kappa has established the model and standard for academic honor societies in the United States and beyond.
GENESEO, N.Y. – SUNY Geneseo’s premier choral ensemble, the Geneseo Chamber Singers, has a busy December with multiple concerts scheduled over the next two weeks.
Geneseo’s reputation for excellence in the liberal arts is known far beyond the valley, but on Monday extended more than 6,800 miles to Gwangju, South Korea.
Juniors and sophomores from 15 area high schools are coming to campus Nov. 18 to experience a day-long leadership training program created for the first time last year by a Geneseo student that focuses on empowering tomorrow’s leaders. At least 220 student are expected to attend from high schools in Livingston, Wyoming, and Genesee counties.
GENESEO, N.Y. – Lynette Bosch, SUNY Distinguished Professor of Art History and chair of Geneseo’s Department of Art History, will be among those presenting at the Cuban Cultural Center of New York’s annual conference Nov. 20 at Sotheby’s in New York City. This year’s conference will focus on the history and development of art in Cuba – from colonial times to present-day performance art.

Now, the college’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) will assist Monks’ Bread promote their most recent expansion of baked goods; two new lines of specialty products — Monks’ Fruit and Nut Bars and Monks’ Biscotti.
