A maximum of 4 credits of ARTH 499 Directed Study and 4 credits of ARTH 495 Internship may be used to satisfy the 400 level requirement.

For those considering Museum Studies careers: ARTH 378 and ARTH 495 are recommended.
For those considering going to graduate school for art history related disciplines: ARTH 399, ARTH 402, ARTH 410 and ARTH 484 are recommended.
For those who are interested in careers in the law and auctioneering: ARTH 378, ARTH 399 and ARTH 495 are recommended.
Minimum Competence Requirement
A grade of C- or better is required for all Art History and cognate area courses used to fulfill major requirements.
Department Writing Requirement
The department writing requirement is fulfilled through the successful completion of ARTH 387, which requires a 20-25 page research paper.
Concentration in Art History
A liberal arts concentration in Art History, available to majors in Early Childhood and Childhood, Childhood and Childhood with Special Education.
