Areas & Programs of Study in Music
The Music Department at Geneseo offers a number of academic programs in a variety of music disciplines that students may pursue either as tracks within the Music BA, as academic minors, or as microcredentials (ICMs or SUNY certificates).
The department offers a single Music BA with all students selecting one of the tracks below. Regardless of track, all students complete the same core coursework in musicianship and critical methods in addition to completing specialized study in their discipline. Certain tracks require an audition or have further eligibility requirements as indicated with an asterisk (*).
