SUNY Geneseo has been named to Forbes’ 2019 list for America’s Best Value Colleges, ranking 115th on the comprehensive list of 300 public and private colleges, up from 175th when Forbes first began the ranking in 2016. The College ranks fifth out of the ten SUNY institutions on the list.
The business journal scored four-year colleges and universities in six areas: quality, net price, net debt, alumni earnings at mid-career, timely graduation, and access for low-income students. The list ranks 300 institutions in the United States with the highest quality and best financial outcomes.
Noting the economic benefits that come with higher education, including better jobs, higher pay, and the social gains, such as increased family stability, healthier and longer lives, Forbes’ Best Value Colleges list focuses on the "human angle" of a college education.
Geneseo was also ranked 167th out of 650 higher education institutions in the most recent Forbes’ America’s Top Colleges’ list that was published in August 2018.
