The SUNY Geneseo Office of Computing & Information Technology provides a wide variety of services to the campus community.

The CIT HelpDesk offers technology support to the campus community. Call the HelpDesk at (585) 245-5588, visit in Milne Library, or visit our online Service Desk.

Brightspace is the campus’ Learning Management System (LMS) with features for faculty to engage students and enrich the learning experience.

Geneseo has negotiated strategic licensing agreements with software vendors to make their products available to student, faculty, and staff-owned personal computers.

CIT offers a variety of special services to students, faculty, and staff.

Note: These lists are only for “college-owned” equipment or tenants expecting service from CIT (if granted.) CIT does not support personally owned equipment for faculty and staff.

SUNY Geneseo requires all students, to bring a Windows or Macintosh laptop computer to Geneseo.

Each department is part of a cluster that is supported by a Technology Support Professional (TSP). Your TSP can assist you with all desktop computing needs.

CIT Telephone Services provides high-grade voice communications to all faculty, staff, students, support groups and off-campus constituencies.

A Virtual Computer Lab provides 24/7 access to campus-licensed software from anywhere with a network connection. Students, faculty and staff can connect to and access our Windows computer lab environment from a Windows or Macintosh computer. A VPN connection is required for connection from off campus.
