Association for Women in Mathematics

The purpose of the Association for Women in Mathematics (AWM) is to create a community in which women and girls can thrive in their mathematical endeavors and to promote equitable opportunity and treatment of women and others of marginalized genders and gender identities across the mathematical sciences. The national organization AWM has played a critical role in increasing the presence and visibility of women in mathematics.

Geneseo's AWM chapter:

Our club is a chapter of the national organization AWM and we specifically focus on creating networking opportunities and building community between Geneseo’s math enthusiasts regardless of major or gender identity. AWM allows students to engage with others in their major outside of the classroom. Any person, regardless of gender identity or major, is always welcome to attend!
