Organization and Responsibilities

Organization and Responsibilities

In order for the College to maximize purchasing opportunities, both qualitatively and economically, it is essential that purchasing responsibilities be conducted by highly skilled and professionally trained purchasing personnel.

The scope of this procedure applies to all aspects of the State purchasing function throughout the College.

In a manner proved by Chapters 552-555 of the State Finance Law of 1985, as detailed in SUNY Purchasing and Contracting procedures (Document 7553), only authorized personnel may execute a purchase commitment on behalf of the College.  A current list of authorized signatures is on file at the Bureau of Contracts and State Expenditures, Office of the State Comptroller.
