Tell us about yourself. Where you live now, career, and/or family news. What have you been up to since you left Geneseo?
I went on to get my PhD from Texas Tech in environmental toxicology. I've been working for biotech start ups in the Silicon valley and live in Oakland, CA.
What was your very first job?
Molecular Microbial Ecologist at Second Genome
If you didn't have to sleep, what would you do with the extra time?
Knitting, reading, or exploring the outdoors
What is one thing on your bucket list?
Raise some chickens!
What would surprise most people about you?
I've tube fed 5 different species of seals and sea lions.
What is your favorite family vacation?
Burning man
What is your favorite sport to watch and which team do you root for?
Not into watching sports
What is your favorite meal and why?
Ethiopian food called Shiro- I love how the meals are communally focused.
What book(s) is currently on your nightstand?
Anxious people by Fredrick Backman, Transcendant Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi, and Leave the world behind by Rumaan Alam
