Travel Policy - Spring 2021 (expires June 1, 2021)
-
Student teachers driving together to campus are not allowed to spend more than two hours in the vehicle (or 60 miles) unless absolutely necessary. Students must crack windows for air circulation, wear masks, wash hands frequently, and not stop at bars or eat-in restaurants.
If leaving campus for a family emergency or rejuvenation day, students must advise the Dean of Students office, remain at home for seven days, get tested upon return to campus, and quarantine until negative test results are returned or a positive-test isolation is completed.
If a student leaves campus after May 1, they must remain off campus for the remainder of the semester. They will forfeit a housing refund.
The College maintains a strict Guest and Visitor Policy. This policy includes prohibiting individuals such as parents (other than move-in and move-out), recent alumni, and others.
Resident students who leave campus to travel out of state must follow New York State Travel Advisory Procedures and quarantine as necessary. They are not guaranteed the ability to have classes transitioned to remote learning.
We will continue to be attentive to the changes in cross-border requirements that will guide the schedules of our students who live in Canada and travel to the United States.
