Labor Day

Monday, September 5, 2022

Classes will not be in session. The College is officially closed and only essential services will be maintained.

Columbus Day

Monday, October 10, 2022

Classified staffing should be minimal and will require prior approval from the Provost or appropriate Vice President on the classified staff holiday certification for GP-8.

Election Day

Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Election Day has been designated as a floating holiday for employees in the CSEA, PEF, UUP and M/C units. Classes will be in session. Offices will be open & employees will be expected to report to work. Employees may observe the floating holiday with supervisor’s approval or will accrue floating holiday time.

Veteran’s Day

Friday, November 11, 2022

Classified staffing should be minimal and will require prior approval from the Provost or appropriate Vice President on the classified staff holiday certification form GP-8.

Thanksgiving Day

Thursday, November 24, 2022

The College will be officially closed and only essential services will be maintained. Supervisors should provide a liberal leave policy for employees on Friday, November 25, 2022.

Christmas

Sunday, December 25, 2022

Under the Attendance Rules a holiday which falls on a Sunday shall be observed on the following Monday.  Therefore, Christmas will be observed on Monday, December 26, 2022.  The College will be officially closed and only essential services will be maintained.  Supervisors should provide a liberal leave policy for employees, from Saturday, December 24, 2022 through Monday, January 2, 2023.

New Year’s Day

Sunday, January 1, 2023

Under the Attendance Rules a holiday which falls on a Sunday shall be observed on the following Monday.  Therefore, New Year's will be observed on Monday, January 2, 2023.  The College will be officially closed and only essential services will be maintained.  Supervisors should provide a liberal leave policy for employees, from Saturday, December 24, 2022 through Monday, January 2, 2023.

Monday, January 16, 2023

Lincoln’s Birthday

Under the Attendance Rules a holiday which falls on a Sunday shall be observed on the following Monday.  Lincoln's Birthday will be observed on Monday, February 13, 2023.  Lincoln's Birthday has been designated as a floating holiday for employees in the CSEA, PEF, UUP, and M/C units.  Classes will be in session.  Offices will be open & employees will be expected to report to work.  Employees may observe the floating holiday with supervisor's approval or will accrue floating holiday time.
