All LGBTQ+ faculty and staff are invited to join the inaugural SUNY Geneseo LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association!
A new group composed of LGBTQ+ employees at SUNY Geneseo is an employee resource organization connecting LGBTQ+ individuals socially and professionally. We aim to promote community, provide opportunities for social networking, increase dialogue, offer mentoring opportunities in higher ed, to promote retention of LGBTQ+ individuals at Geneseo, and build solidarity among the college’s LGBTQ+ faculty and staff.
The LGBTQ+ Association plans to host meetings and provide resources for LGBTQ+ employees, including social networking, virtual meetups (during COVID-restrictions), provide support in navigating workplace interactions and more.
The LGBTQ+ Faculty and Staff Association facilitates opportunities to celebrate, empower, and connect our diverse LGBTQ+ faculty and staff. Our goal is to ensure the inclusion and success of LGBTQ+ individuals in professional and personal development through connection, leadership, mentoring, and advocacy in support of SUNY Geneseo’s commitment to diversity.
