“My grandparents met when working a shift together in the dish room at Mary Jemison Dining Hall. This lead to them getting married, teaching in the same school district, and creating a beautiful family. My mother followed in her parents footsteps, attended Geneseo and also became a teacher. All three of them have wonderful memories of their time here. I want to carry on the family tradition, and believe I can also make great memories attending SUNY Geneseo!”

“I did not feel any pressure to choose Geneseo. The most you could say is that when we were in Rochester looking at schools, my Dad suggested we go the extra 20 minutes to check it out. Knowing that several people in my family went here and loved their experiences, it’s not a surprise that Geneseo would be the right fit for me as well. I’m excited to see what the next 4 years have in store for me and it’s fun to be able to see the Geneseo that my parents talk about but thought my own personal lens. Go Knights!”

“Geneseo was a common topic in family discussions since I was a baby. Visiting often with my mother (class of 1994), made Geneseo feel like home before I ever applied. It was always Geneseo for me.”
