Opportunities 

Following are the current and anticipated procurement opportunities at SUNY Geneseo.  All interested parties are invited to contact the appropriate person identified in the table below to discuss the opportunity and obtain detailed specifications.  All procurements estimated to have a value equal to or greater than $50,000 will be advertised in the New York State Contract Reporter online publication for 15 business days prior to award.

Discretionary Authority

With few exceptions, the College awards procurements of general commodities and services having a value between $50,000 and $125,000, that are not available from a New York State Office of General Services (OGS) contract or a NYS Preferred Source, using the State University of New York's discretionary authority, granted under New York State Education Law §355 (5)(a).  In these cases, a sealed bid will not be held.  Please contact the Director of Purchasing & Central Services, Rebecca Anchor, to learn more about the discretionary procurement process.

Sealed IFBs and RFPs

With the exception of single and sole source purchases, all procurements having a value equal to or greater than $125,000, will be awarded through an Invitation to Bid (IFB) or Request for Proposals (RFP) process.  Interested parties should contact the appropriate person identified in the table above to request the complete IFB or RFP packet.   Responses to IFBs and RFPs are to be submitted in a sealed envelope to the following location at the date and time so indicated in the solicitation package:

It is the responsibility of the respondent submitting the bid or proposal to ensure it is delivered to the appropriate location by the required deadline.  Additional instructions are included in the IFB and RFP packets.  Please be sure to read all of the instructions and information contained in the IFB and RFP packets. 

Results of procurements awarded through IFB or RFP processes will be posted once a final award has been made at Recent AwardsPlease check back periodically for results or contact the appropriate person indicated in the table above for an update.  Requests for information submitted by email instead of phone are appreciated.
