Clifton Harcum is an accomplished professional with more than 15 years of experience in higher education. Prior to joining Geneseo, he served for three years within SUNY Potsdam’s Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, including two years as the director. In that role, his many contributions earned him the 2020 SUNY Potsdam PRIDE Award for Creativity. Harcum has also received numerous awards for his dedication to local community engagement.

As the administrative assistant to the chief diversity officer, Karie manages the CDO’s calendar and oversees the day-to-day operations of the Office of Diversity and Equity (ODE), including the Title IX Office, Multicultural Programs and Services, LGBTQ Programs and Services, and Hillel. She also provides both administrative and scheduling support to the Bias Prevention Response Team, Advancing Cultural Competency Certificate, and the President’s Commission on Diversity and Community.

Myko is a 3-year-old yellow lab and our newest addition to the office. He loves providing comfort to people. When he's not busy in the office, he enjoys being outside, hiking, swimming and playing with his friends at doggy daycare.
