Orientation

Orientation is an ongoing process that starts with the Orientation Program. Undergraduate Orientation Leaders and College faculty and staff guide students through a transfer program and/or a first-year program, offering an introduction to college life, services, and the curriculum. Through small group discussions with peer advisors and academic advisement with faculty, new students gain confidence and knowledge about Geneseo while meeting other new students. Informative programs for families are available virtually. Orientation continues with the Week of Welcome (WOW), an interactive program for all new students that combines introductions to life on campus,  programming on hate crimes, assault, and alcohol awareness, social gatherings, entertainment, and opportunities to volunteer in the community. The Office of First Year Programs extends Orientation with programs and activities throughout the year.
