Cavanaugh, director of the Center for World Catholicism and Intercultural Theology and professor Catholic Studies at DePaul University in Chicago, will deliver SUNY Geneseo’s 2015 MacVittie Lecture Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Doty Hall Recital Hall. His address, “Does Religion Cause Violence?,” is free and open to the public.
