Payroll Services is responsible for the timely and accurate payments to all state employees including professional and classified staff, graduate/teaching assistants, student assistants and college work study students.

The payroll office processes all salary transactions, stipends, bonuses, inconvenience pay, pre-shift briefing, overtime, overtime meals, lost time, vacation and salary withholding (5-day deferred pay).

Payroll also handles tax withholding, direct deposit, SEFA deductions, NYS College Savings Program deductions, ERS loan deductions and SRA deductions.

Timesheet Instructions for COVID-related Absences

Employees will need to use their own accruals for COVID-related absences, just like other illnesses. If you do not have accruals available, please contact Human Resources.

Please note that employees are required to notify their supervisor if they cannot report to work due to illness or take care of an ill family member. Contact the Payroll Office at 585-245-5616 or payroll@geneseo.edu with any questions about time balances.
