COVID-19 Guidance
- Have symptoms? Been exposed? Tested positive?
-
Follow New York State's Department of Health guidelines & complete the Employee Self-Reporting form (if you've tested positive). The self-reporting form is required for proof of positive test and time & attendance purposes.
- Timesheet Instructions for COVID-related Absences
-
In the Time & Attendance system, select the "Mandatory Quarantine" option from the non-chargeable type dropdown menu.
There are ten (10) days available that can be used for a maximum of three incidents. They can be used ONLY for a positive COVID-19 test result. You will submit your positive test when you complete the Employee Self-Reporting form. If employees exhaust the 10-day maximum, they will need to use accruals for additional COVID-related absences. If you do not have accruals available, please contact Human Resources.
Please note that employees are required to notify their supervisor if they cannot report to work due to illness or take care of an ill family member. Contact the Payroll Office at 585-245-5616 or payroll@geneseo.edu with any questions about time balances.
- How long do I need to isolate/quarantine for?
-
Use the CDC's Isolation and Exposure Calculator to determine the length of your isolation. If you have additional questions, reach out to your primary care physician.
